Who we are & what we do..
AMBER Dynamic Sun Design is specialized in the engineering, designing and producing of sun awning systems for the yacht industry and smaller vessels of varying size and style (minimum of 12 meters). We are a studio rather than a factory.
Our basic principle is that the design and character of the ship should match perfectly.
We offer two core products: automatic and stationary sun awning systems available in various models, shapes and colours. These systems are customized for every vessel, a unique concept. The functionality and aesthetics aspect are making the system to what it really is; the most innovative sun protection systems available in the market. AMBER systems are the result of our search to the essence of what a sun awning system should offer.
We largely subcontract production to carefully selected, intensively trained craftsmen; they are
our proud co-makers. Our wide network enables us each time to enter into an alliance with the foremost parties in their field.
Cees Wijma is AMBER’s founder and CEO. He is responsible for the engineering, construction and the design. After stringent selection, he determines which other parties are called in to realize a new project. He previously gained experience as mechanical engineer for the Dutch electronics concern Philips. Currently he is combining his two passions for hydraulics and yacht building at AMBER Dynamic Sun Design.
